What Happens in Mothstorm?
A strange and mysterious cloud begins to drift through our Solar System. This cloud seems to be moving towards the inner planets.
Investigating the Mystery
A British spaceship is sent out to investigate this cloud. Their mission takes them all the way to Georgium Sidus, which is another name for the planet Uranus. There, they make a surprising discovery. They find giant moths and blue lizard-like creatures living within the cloud.
Most of the spaceship's crew are captured by these creatures. Luckily, a boy named Arthur is saved by the quick actions of Jack's crew. Together, they manage to rescue Captain Moonfield. With the Captain safe, they hurry to warn the planets around Jupiter, known as the Jovian System.
The Mothmaker's Plan
The heroes soon learn more about the blue lizards, who are called the Snilth. They discover that the Snilth are controlled by a powerful and dangerous being. This being is known as the Mothmaker. The Mothmaker is a "Rogue Shaper," which means they use their special powers for bad purposes.
The heroes and the people of the Jovian System manage to fight off the first attack from the Mothstorm. However, the Mothstorm does not give up. It then changes course and heads directly towards Earth!
Stopping the Threat
To save Earth, Mrs. Mumby and Arthur must find a way to stop the Mothmaker. They use a very special formula that Shapers sometimes use. This formula helps Shapers complete their work and then disappear. With this formula, they are able to defeat the Mothmaker.
It is also revealed that a character named Ssilla has a special connection to the Snilth. She is a descendant of an old Snilth Queen. This Queen had tried to fight against the Mothmaker a long time ago. Sadly, her family was defeated and her clan was destroyed.
A New Beginning
After the Mothmaker is defeated, Ssilla becomes the new Queen of the Snilth. The Snilth have a miniature sun that provides them with light and warmth. This miniature sun is carefully moved. It is placed into orbit around Hades, which is another name for the dwarf planet Pluto. The Snilth then make Hades their new home.
As a reward for Jack's bravery and help, a special medicine is created. This medicine is an antidote that can change all the Venusian colonists back to their original forms. This brings a happy ending for many characters in the story.
