Motocrossed is a fun Disney Channel Original Movie from 2001. It's about a girl named Andrea Carson who loves motocross racing. Her dad, Edward, thinks racing is too dangerous for girls. He wants her to do "girl things" instead.

One day, Andrea's twin brother, Andrew, gets hurt. He dislocates his knee right before a big race. Their dad has to go to Europe to find a new rider. While he's gone, Andrea decides to secretly race in Andrew's place. Her mom helps her keep it a secret. The movie is loosely based on a play by William Shakespeare called Twelfth Night.

What the Movie is About

The Carson family loves motocross racing. Andrew, the oldest son, hopes to win a big race. He wants to get a sponsor for the family.

His twin sister, Andrea "Andy" Carson, also loves motocross. But her dad, Edward, doesn't like it. He thinks racing is too risky for his daughter. He wants her to stick to other activities.

One day, Andrea and Andrew race on their family track. Andrew crashes his bike and hurts his knee. He can't race in the upcoming Cup. Their dad has to quit his job. He uses the family's money to find a replacement rider from Europe.

Andrea feels bad about her brother's injury. She also really wants to race. So, she comes up with a plan: she will pretend to be Andrew. Her brother doesn't like the idea at first, but he agrees.

Andrea's Secret Race

Andrea goes to the race track pretending to be Andrew. Other racers are not very friendly. She gets a scrape on her arm during her first race. Her mom, Geneva, becomes suspicious.

Andrea's younger brother, Jason, tells their mom the secret. After thinking it over, Geneva agrees to let Andrea race. But it has to be a secret from Edward. They need to do it before he comes back with a new rider.

Andrea and her mom arrive at the race. She registers as "Andy." Andrea is confident at first. But she soon learns that the competition is tough. She finishes last in her first race.

A competitor named Dean Talon notices "Andy." Dean thinks "Andy" is a guy. He's surprised that a new rider is getting so much attention from girls. Dean offers to help "Andrew" with his riding. In return, he asks for advice about his crush, Faryn Henderson.

Andrea starts to like Dean. She reluctantly helps him try to win Faryn's attention. Andrea's training pays off. She finishes 7th in her next race. She keeps getting better. She even takes 1st place in the last race of the day. This gives her an overall 3rd place finish.

Dad Finds Out

Their celebration is cut short. Her angry father, Edward, arrives. He scolds Andrea for racing. He also scolds Geneva for letting her.

Edward has found a new rider from France, René Cartier. Andrea doesn't like Cartier. He tries to flirt with her. He also treats her brothers badly. Andrea learns that Cartier has a bad reputation. He races unfairly and dangerously. Andrew tells their dad about it. But Edward says they need an aggressive rider right now.

Andrea sees Cartier talking with another competitor, Art Henderson. She argues with Cartier. Edward sees them arguing and scolds Andrea.

Back at their camp, the Carson family talks to Edward. They tell him how much he is hurting Andrea. Edward starts to understand. He realizes how much racing means to Andrea. He also sees how much the family supports her.

Edward finds Andrea arguing with Cartier again. Andrea says she's trying to help her family. Cartier rudely shoves her. Edward sees this. He shoves Cartier back and fires him.

Edward and Andrea go for a walk. He tells her he is proud of her. He says she brought Carson Racing far. Andrea says her only regret is that Andrew got hurt instead of her. Edward tells her not to worry. He allows her to race in the final heat.

The Final Race

In the final race, Andrea and Cartier race fiercely. Cartier is now racing for Art Henderson Racing. Cartier makes a mistake on a turn. Andrea takes the lead and wins 1st place!

But an angry Cartier exposes her during a live interview. He tells everyone that "Andy" is a girl. Everyone is shocked, especially Dean.

A big argument starts between the Carson family and Art Henderson Racing. They want Andrea disqualified. They say a girl isn't allowed to compete. Geneva argues back. She says she read the rules. The rules do not say girls can't race. Henderson then tries to say Andrea wasn't registered. Geneva shows them the registration form. It shows Andrea registered as "Andy Carson," which is short for Andrea.

Barbara Rollins, the corporate CEO, is inspired by Andrea. She is impressed that a woman "came on top in a man's sport." She lets Andrea keep her title. She also gives the entire Carson family a full sponsorship!

Back home, Geneva has a surprise. They can hire a 250 rider for the next race. She says someone is already interested. Andrea goes outside and finds Dean. He heard they needed a 250 rider. Andrea challenges him to a race. If he wins, he can be the new 250 rider. The movie ends with Dean and Andrea racing.
