Alan John Buckley (born February 9, 1977) is a Canadian actor. He is well-known for his roles in popular TV shows. He played Adam Ross, a crime lab technician, in the series CSI: NY from 2005 to 2013. He also starred as Sonny Quinn, a Navy SEAL, in the TV series SEAL Team from 2017 to 2024. Buckley has also appeared in shows like Supernatural and lent his voice to characters like Nash in the animated movie The Good Dinosaur.

Early Life
Buckley was born in Dublin, Ireland, on February 9, 1977. When he was six years old, his family moved to White Rock, British Columbia, Canada.
As a teenager, Buckley started his acting career. He appeared in the TV series The Odyssey. He also had guest roles in famous shows like The X-Files and Millennium.
Buckley went to St. Thomas More Collegiate in Burnaby, which is near Vancouver.
Career Highlights
In 1998, Buckley appeared in the science fiction thriller film Disturbing Behavior. He acted alongside actress Katie Holmes in this movie. In 2001, he starred in an independent film called Extreme Days. This movie was a mix of comedy, drama, and romance.
In 2005, Buckley was offered the role of Adam Ross in the popular crime drama CSI: NY. His role was first meant to be a recurring one. However, by the third season in 2007, he was offered a five-year contract. Before this, Buckley had played a different character on the original CSI: Crime Scene Investigation in 2004.
In 2006, the film Jimmy and Judy was released. Buckley also starred as Sonny Quinn in SEAL Team. This is an American military drama TV series. It first aired on CBS for four seasons. Later, it moved to Paramount+ for its fifth and sixth seasons.
Personal Life
A. J. Buckley proposed to his girlfriend, Abigail Ochse, on December 31, 2012. They had been together for two years. They were on vacation in Hawaii at the time.
On September 3, 2013, Buckley announced that they were expecting a baby girl. Their daughter was born on January 19, 2014. In 2019, Buckley played in the "Away" team for the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. This event took place in Charlotte, North Carolina.
