Instead of the forest, they decide to take Guddu to a national park. Patlu thinks Guddu won't survive in the wild because he doesn't know how to hunt. So, Guddu tries to escape from them sometimes.

The Story of Motu Patlu: King of Kings
Guddu the Circus Lion
The movie starts at a circus. Many people are there to watch Guddu Ghalib, a lion who is a bit of a scaredy-cat. The ringmaster introduces Guddu as a "poet from Misaj" who only eats vegetables. Guddu rides a unicycle, juggles carrots, and sings "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star."
Guddu is supposed to jump through a ring of fire. He does it perfectly, making the crowd cheer! But then, two rats fighting over cheese fall on Guddu's nose. This scares Guddu, and he starts running.
Guddu crashes into the pole with the fire ring, and it falls, starting a fire! Guddu quickly escapes the circus on his unicycle. He runs from three stray dogs and jumps into an open car trunk. This car is heading to Furfuri Nagar.
Guddu in Furfuri Nagar
When the car reaches Furfuri Nagar, Guddu gets out and explores. He tries to greet some kids, but they run away. Everyone in town starts running from him! Guddu realizes people are scared of him and starts chasing them for fun.
Chingum tries to stop the lion but is too scared. He calls Motu and Patlu, who are also running from Guddu! Motu thinks Guddu is a person in a costume trying to scare people. He tries to tickle Guddu and pull off his "costume," not realizing Guddu is a real lion.
Motu and Patlu escape. Motu finds some samosas and eats them. Then, Motu tries to fight the lion. He uses some sticks to trap Guddu.
Meeting Guddu and a New Plan
Guddu is now in a cage and crying. Dr. Jhatka arrives with his "Animal Language Translating Gadget." This helps Motu and his friends understand Guddu. Guddu introduces himself and asks them to take him to the jungle.
Motu opens the cage for a high-five. Patlu realizes Guddu can't survive in the jungle because he doesn't know how to hunt. Chingum suggests a national park for Guddu to stay. Guddu agrees, and they start their journey.
Trouble in the Jungle
Meanwhile, in the jungle, young animals like Heeru (a fawn) are playing. Suddenly, trucks full of hunters arrive. The hunters throw nets to catch animals. Heeru's mother gets caught, but Heeru and other animals escape.
They go to their king, King Singha, to tell him what happened. King Singha fights the hunters. But a helicopter arrives, and a man named Narasimha captures King Singha. Narasimha reveals he tried to find gold last year but King Singha stopped him. Now that the king is caught, Narasimha plans to get the gold.
Guddu's Escape and Narasimha's Trick
That night, Guddu tells Motu he wants to stay in the jungle, not go to the national park. Motu sees a glowing bird and follows it. Many similar birds fly around.
The next day, Narasimha teases King Singha. He says he will destroy the jungle and become its king. This makes King Singha angry! King Singha escapes his net and saves other captured animals just as their cage falls. Narasimha and his group escape in a car.
Back at Motu's camp, Guddu pretends to be dead to escape his cage. Motu cries and accidentally leaves the door open while telling everyone. Guddu escapes! One of Narasimha's men, Aplu, sees this and plans to bring Motu and his friends to Narasimha.
Aplu succeeds, and Motu, Patlu, Chingum, Dr. Jhatka, and Ghasitaram are brought to Narasimha's camp. Narasimha pretends to be a good person, saying he is there for the "welfare of the people." He makes the king look bad. Motu and his friends believe Narasimha and go after Guddu.
The Truth About King Singha
The next morning, Guddu is eating a carrot. He hides when he hears Motu calling. Chugli, one of King Singha's helpers, sees Motu and his friends. He thinks they are hunters and tells King Singha.
Motu runs towards King Singha, thinking he is Guddu because they look alike. Motu tries to dance with King Singha, which makes the king even angrier. Motu and King Singha start fighting. Guddu watches and enjoys the fight. Patlu realizes Motu is fighting the wrong lion!
Motu confronts King Singha. King Singha tells Motu that Narasimha is a "demon disguised as a human" and explains his evil plans. Motu realizes they were tricked. Narasimha, watching from his drone, throws missiles. One missile hits a ledge where young animals are standing.
The ledge starts to fall. King Singha and Motu go to save the animals. They succeed, but a tree falls on King Singha, trapping him. Motu tries to lift the tree but can't. King Singha tells Motu to protect the animals. The ledge breaks, and Patlu grabs a vine to save Motu. Patlu saves Motu, but King Singha falls. Motu promises the king he will defeat Narasimha. Narasimha laughs, happy about the king's death.
A New Plan and a New King
Narasimha and his group start cutting down trees with a machine. Chingum stops them. Motu confronts Narasimha. Narasimha's men surround Motu and his friends. Patlu then laughs and says King Singha is alive! Motu is surprised, and Narasimha is shocked. Patlu says King Singha will arrive with his army. Narasimha says he will kill King Singha again. Motu and his friends are captured.
In the cell, Motu punches Patlu for not telling him about saving King Singha. Motu throws Patlu so hard against the entrance that it opens! Everyone escapes but falls down a cliff.
Guddu is eating honey. A big branch falls, and Guddu runs. Motu and friends fall into the water and slide down a waterfall. Guddu sees this and runs. Motu and friends get out of the water. Motu is still mad at Patlu.
Patlu, frustrated, finally says that King Singha really did die. Patlu explains his plan: Guddu will pretend to be King Singha to encourage the animals. Guddu overhears this and tries to escape. He trips and lands near Motu and Patlu. Guddu tries to run but is surrounded.
Narasimha and his group are cutting trees, and animals are running away. Motu shows Guddu what is happening to the jungle. Guddu says he can never be King Singha. He collapses from fear.
Narasimha reaches the gold mine. He blows up rocks and finds gold. His group celebrates and goes inside the mine, amazed by all the gold.
Guddu Accepts His Role
In a cave, Motu and Chingum try to convince Guddu to be king and help the animals. Guddu finally agrees. But then he gets scared again. Motu tells Guddu he won't leave until Guddu agrees to be king. Guddu compares Motu to the circus ringmaster and decides to help.
Outside the cave, Patlu introduces "King Singha." Guddu steps out, and the animals bow to him. Motu encourages the animals to get ready for war.
At the gold mine, Narasimha and his group are digging for gold. A man named Abhiskar Lal arrives with a new invention. Lal says his invention can defeat all the animals. Narasimha opens the truck, and the invention beats him up! Lal reveals it's a "Donther," a mix of a dog and a panther. Monica shows Narasimha Motu and Patlu's plan. Narasimha tells Lal to release the Donthers to fight Motu and friends. Lal shows the Donthers a picture of Guddu and tells them to attack him.
The Big Battle Begins
In the jungle, the song "Dham Dham Dham" plays as everyone gets ready for war. The Donthers attack the animals. Motu and Patlu try to make Guddu roar, but he only meows. Guddu is having a panic attack.
Guddu runs, and the Donthers chase him. Motu and his friends follow. Guddu jumps onto a tree branch. The Donthers jump too, and their weight breaks the branch. All the Donthers fall, but Guddu saves himself by grabbing a vine. He climbs to the other side.
Motu asks Guddu to come back, but Guddu refuses. He wants to be independent and do things for himself. Guddu says goodbye and leaves. Motu realizes he expected too much from Guddu.
Motu goes to wash his face in the water. Fish form the face of King Singha. The face encourages Motu, saying those with courage never lose. Motu follows the face and ends up hugging a crocodile! The crocodile gets scared and tries to escape. Motu realizes it's a crocodile and lets go.
Motu and his friends run but are stopped by Chungli and other animals. They are angry that Motu tried to replace King Singha with a circus lion. The animals call Motu and Patlu liars and decide to leave the jungle. Motu gets upset and says he wanted Guddu to unite them against Narasimha. A rhinoceros says they can't fight without Singha. Patlu tells the animals to fight, or they will have to run from every new place. Soon, all the animals, including Heeru, join Motu and Patlu. Motu tells everyone to get ready for war.
The Final Showdown
Everyone charges towards Narasimha's base. Narasimha, Monica, and Abhiskar Lal plan their defense. They have two defense lines and a secret one. Lal says his new invention, a giant creature called Gorrato, will be another defense line.
At night, Motu and friends charge. Motu and Patlu look at the defenses. Motu tells a bird named Anokhi to light up the camp with her friends. The glowing birds make it look like day, and Narasimha's defense plan starts.
The light wakes up Guddu, and he watches the war. Patlu tells Chingum and the animals to start the aerial attack. Monkeys feed bananas to elephants, who then blast them at Narasimha's men. Aplu gets hit by a banana. Narasimha tells his commandos to attack. Patlu tells Chingum to use "Coconut Bullets." Chingum shoots his gun, and monkeys feed coconuts to elephants. The coconuts fall from the sky and hit more of Narasimha's men.
The war continues with guns, tanks, and burning charcoal. Narasimha demands Abhiskar Lal release Goratto. Lal releases Goratto and tells it to attack the animals.
Guddu watches as many animals retreat from Goratto. Motu and Patlu try to attack Goratto but are punched away. Heeru steps up and threatens Goratto. Goratto grabs Heeru and throws her. Heeru falls near Guddu and mistakes him for King Singha, begging for help. Guddu steps back into the cave and says he is not King Singha, he is Guddu.
Suddenly, an imaginary Motu and Patlu encourage Guddu to help. After their words, Guddu goes to help Motu in the war. Hearing Guddu's roar, many animals regain their courage and fight Goratto. Goratto fights Guddu. Meanwhile, Motu fights Narasimha and his helpers and defeats them. Goratto throws Guddu to the ground. Guddu fights Goratto again. All the animals help Guddu, and Guddu finally kicks Goratto off the cliff!
A New King and a Happy Ending
In the cave, Motu and Patlu give a speech. The animals finally accept Guddu as their new king. Narasimha and his helpers are in a cell, and Chingum teases them. Motu hugs Guddu. Motu then tells the audience to eat their carrots and radishes, and the movie ends with the song "Motu Patlu Ki Jodi."
