Mourad Zaoui was born in Casablanca, Morocco, on April 23, 1980. He grew up as the older of two sons. His parents were Mostapha and Khadija Zaoui.

After finishing high school in Casablanca in 1999, Mourad moved to New York City. There, he studied English at Queens College. It was during this time that he discovered his love for acting and movies.

In 2002, Mourad returned to Morocco to help his family. His father was ill, and Mourad took over their family business, which made shoes. After his father passed away in 2004, Mourad decided to follow his dream of becoming an actor.

In 2005, when he was 25 years old, Mourad got his first main role in a movie called Wake Up Morocco. This first acting job was a bit tough. He had some injuries from a motorcycle accident right before filming. He also had an appendicitis attack while they were making the movie. Even with these challenges, Mourad kept going. He has since acted in over 60 film and television projects.

When Mourad is not busy acting, he enjoys several hobbies. He likes surfing, fashion, motor sports, and martial arts.
