His Early Life and Dreams
Mourad Zaoui was born in Casablanca, Morocco, on April 23, 1980. He grew up there as the older of two sons. His parents are Mostapha and Khadija Zaoui.
After finishing high school in Casablanca in 1999, Mourad moved to New York City. He went there to study English at Queens College. It was during this time that he discovered how much he loved acting. He found a real passion for theatre and movies.
Starting His Acting Career
In 2002, Mourad's father became very ill. Mourad decided to return to Morocco to help care for him. He also took over his family's business, which made shoes. After his father passed away in 2004, Mourad chose to follow his dream of becoming an actor.
