Mr. Marcelo is an American rapper whose real name is Jisaidie Hicks. He was born on August 13, 1976. He became known in the music world around the year 2000. He was briefly signed to a record label called No Limit Records.

Mr. Marcelo released his first album, Brick Livin', on July 25, 2000. Even though the album received good reviews from critics, it did not climb very high on the music charts. It reached number 172 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 43 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

His Early Life

Jisaidie Hicks, also known as Mr. Marcelo, grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. He lived in an area known as the Magnolia Projects. He is also the older brother of another rapper named Currensy.

His Music Journey

Mr. Marcelo started gaining attention in 1992 with a song called "Hey P-Popper." This song was popular because it was connected to a dance that many people enjoyed at the time.

In 2000, he was featured on a song called "Whodi" by the group 504 Boyz. This helped him become more widely known. That same year, he released his first album, Brick Livin'. This album was his biggest hit.

He continued to release music, putting out a second album, Streetz Got Luv 4 Me, in 2001. This album was not as successful as his first. In 2004, he released his third album, Still Brick Livin', through his own company, Brick Livin Entertainment. His fourth album, Son of Magnolia, came out in 2006. Mr. Marcelo has also released several mixtapes (collections of songs) through his Brick Livin Entertainment label.
