Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan

A Prime Minister is the head of the government in many countries. They lead the cabinet of ministers and help run the country.
Mukhammetkalyi Abylgaziev first became the acting Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan for a short time in August 2017. This happened after the previous Prime Minister, Sooronbay Jeenbekov, stepped down to run for president. Before this, Abylgaziev had been the Deputy Prime Minister.
On April 20, 2018, he was officially appointed as the Prime Minister again by President Sooronbay Jeenbekov. This appointment came after the government led by Sapar Isakov was changed. A few days later, on April 25, the new government officially began its work.
During his time as Prime Minister, Abylgaziev met with many leaders from other countries. These meetings help countries work together and solve problems. He met with leaders like the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Bakhytzhan Sagintayev, and the Prime Minister of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev. He also met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, and the Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan. Other important meetings included those with the Premier of China, Li Keqiang, and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
On June 15, 2020, Abylgaziev resigned from his position as Prime Minister. This decision was made due to questions raised about how some government decisions were made regarding radio frequencies. Abylgaziev stated that he had not done anything wrong.
