Rónán Hession (born 1975) is an Irish musician and writer. He is known by his music name, Mumblin' Deaf Ro. Rónán writes blues and folk music. He also writes popular novels.

Rónán lives in Dublin, Ireland, with his wife and two children. He is a big fan of Watford Football Club. He also works for the Irish government in a department that helps people.

Mumblin' Deaf Ro: His Music

Rónán Hession has played in many bands in Dublin. Some of his earlier bands were Rinty, Boxcar, and The Critters. He also performed music as 'Johnny Horsebox'.

He started releasing music as Mumblin' Deaf Ro in 2003. His album Dictionary Crimes came out in 2012. This album was named the Irish album of the year by Nialler9 and the Irish Independent. It was also nominated for the Choice Music Prize.
