Muramvya Province is one of the 18 provinces in Burundi. Burundi is a country located in East Africa. The main city and capital of Muramvya Province is Muramvya.

History of Muramvya Province
Muramvya Province was created in 2002. Before this, it was part of a larger area. That larger area was also called Muramvya Province.
In 2002, the original Muramvya Province was divided. It was split into two new provinces. These new provinces were Muramvya Province and Mwaro Province. This change helped to manage the different areas better.
Geography and Administration
Muramvya Province covers an area of about 695.52 square kilometers. This is roughly 268.54 square miles. According to the 2008 census, about 292,589 people lived there.
The province is divided into smaller areas called communes. These communes help organize the local government.

Muramvya Province has five main communes. They are:
- Commune of Bukeye
- Commune of Kiganda
- Commune of Mbuye
- Commune of Muramvya
- Commune of Rutegama
