Murmansk State Technical University, or MSTU, is a large school located on the Kola peninsula in Russia. It's a place where students learn about many different subjects, especially those related to the sea and the Arctic region. The university started a long time ago, in 1950.
A Brief History of MSTU
The university began as the High Marine School (HMS). This was a special school for people who wanted to work on ships. Later, it became the Russian State Academy of Fishing Fleet. This new name showed its focus on fishing and marine studies. Since 1996, it has been known as Murmansk State Technical University.
