Later, on December 16, 1926, the post office's name was changed. It became known as Pine Valley, Oklahoma. But the name Muse didn't disappear for long! On May 11, 1927, a new post office named Muse, Oklahoma, was opened. It was set up in a slightly different spot.
When Muse was first established, it was part of the Choctaw Nation. Specifically, it was in Wade County. This county was part of the Apukshunnubbee District within the Choctaw Nation. The Choctaw Nation is a Native American tribal government.
