The Museum of the Riverina is a cool place to learn about local history! It's located in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia. Wagga Wagga is a city in the Riverina region, which is in the south-western part of New South Wales.

The museum first opened in 1967. It was started by the Wagga Wagga and District Historical Society. The first museum building was near the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens.

Later, in the late 1990s, the Wagga Wagga City Council began running the museum. They brought the buildings at the Botanic Gardens site together. In 1999, a second museum location opened. This new spot was at the Historic Council Chambers. It's on the corner of Baylis and Morrow Streets.

Today, the Historic Council Chambers site shows special exhibitions that travel from other places. The Botanic Gardens site is home to the Sporting Hall of Fame. It also holds the museum's main collection of items. This includes some interesting figurines from the Tichborne Case. The museum also helps 38 other museums in the Riverina region.
