Mustapha Moussa (born 2 February 1962 – died 3 August 2024) was a famous Algerian boxer. He competed in the light heavyweight division, which is for boxers weighing between 75 and 81 kilograms.

Mustapha Moussa made history for Algeria. He won the country's very first Olympic medal. This was a bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He even shared the medal podium with the well-known American boxer, Evander Holyfield.

Sadly, Mustapha Moussa passed away on 3 August 2024. He was 62 years old and died in Oran, Algeria, due to injuries from a traffic accident.

Mustapha Moussa began his boxing career in his hometown of Oran. He trained with a local boxing club called ASM Oran.

Olympic Achievements

Mustapha Moussa's biggest success came at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. He showed great skill and determination in his matches.
