My Little Pony: Twinkle Wish Adventure facts for kids

My Little Pony: Twinkle Wish Adventure is an animated movie made for home video. It was released on October 13, 2009. This film was part of the third generation of the My Little Pony series. It was the last movie before the popular My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic TV show started in 2010.

This movie, along with two others, was shown on the Hub Network in 2014. A special "My Little Pony Mega Mare-athon" event included these films. This event was very popular, attracting millions of viewers!

The Missing Wishing Star

The ponies in Ponyville are super excited for the Winter Wishes Festival! This festival is special because a wishing star named Twinkle Wish comes to grant everyone a wish. But then, something goes wrong! A dragon named Whimsey Weatherbe takes Twinkle Wish.

Now, the festival is in trouble! Pinkie Pie and her friends must find Twinkle Wish and bring her back. If they don't, no one's wishes will come true, and the festival will be ruined.

At the end of the movie, the ponies learn that Whimsey didn't mean to cause harm. She just wanted a friend to play with! After the ponies try to get Twinkle Wish back, Whimsey changes her mind. She gives Twinkle Wish back just in time for the festival. Everyone's wishes come true, and the festival is a big success!

Pinkie Pie

Pinkie Pie is an earth pony with a pink body and a light pink mane and tail. Her special mark is three balloons. She is the fun-loving leader of the group. Pinkie Pie loves to plan big parties and anything pink!

Rainbow Dash

Voiced by: Anna Cummer

Rainbow Dash is an earth pony with a sky blue body and a colorful mane and tail. Her special mark is a rainbow on a cloud. She is the stylish and trendy fashionista of the group. Rainbow Dash always dresses in style and is the oldest friend.

Starsong

Voiced by: Chantal Strand

Starsong is a pegasus pony with a purple body and pink curly mane and tail. She has pretty wings on her back. Her special mark is a pink and white star. Starsong is a great performer, singer, and dancer. She can be shy, but she shines on stage. She is the only pegasus in Ponyville.

Sweetie Belle

Voiced by: Andrea Libman

Sweetie Belle is a unicorn pony with a white body and a pink, purple, and light purple mane and tail. Her special mark is a sparkly pink heart. She is the youngest friend, but very sweet and kind. Sweetie Belle loves to bake yummy treats. She is the only unicorn in Ponyville and Scootaloo's best friend.

Scootaloo

Voiced by: Tabitha St. Germain

Scootaloo is an earth pony with an orange body and a purple and pink mane and tail. Her special mark is a butterfly with two small yellow flowers. She is the second youngest friend and Cheerilee's younger sister. Scootaloo loves playing games and sports. She can be a bit stubborn sometimes.

Cheerilee

Voiced by: Kelly Sheridan

Cheerilee is an earth pony with a mulberry body and a pink and purple mane and tail. Her special mark is a light pink lily. She loves flowers and telling amazing stories. Cheerilee is Scootaloo's older sister. She acts grown-up and knows what's best, but sometimes she and Scootaloo argue.

Toola-Roola

Toola-Roola is an earth pony with a cream-colored body and a short, colorful mane and tail. Her special mark is a paintbrush and curly lines. She is the second oldest friend and a talented artist. Toola-Roola loves painting and making crafts. She finds inspiration everywhere!

Flitter Flutter is an earth pony with a pearly yellow body. Her special mark is a heart key with a ribbon. She is the Mayor of Ponyville. She is also the judge for the ornament contest at the Winter Wishes Festival.

Twinkle Wish

Voiced by: Tabitha St. Germain

Twinkle Wish is a special wishing star from the legends of the Winter Wishes Festival. She usually sleeps in a box to save energy. This energy helps her grant everyone's wishes at the festival. She was "taken" by Whimsey, which made the ponies go on an adventure to get her back.

Whimsey Weatherbe

Voiced by: Keegan Connor Tracy

Whimsey Weatherbe is a female dragon with an orange body and pink wings. She lives in Willy Nelly Mountain near Ponyville. Whimsey can control the weather and loves to have friends. She "takes" Twinkle Wish after Scootaloo accidentally opens the box. The ponies then go to her mountain to get Twinkle Wish back. In the end, she gives Twinkle Wish back with a changed heart.

Before the Festival

The DVD for the movie includes a short story called Waiting for the Winter Wishes Festival. This story happens before the main movie. In this prologue, the ponies talk about what they love most about the Winter Wishes Festival. The DVD also has another short cartoon called "Elefun and Friends."
