A Look Back at Mystic
Early Days
The area where Mystic is located was first called "Pierce." People began to settle here because of the limestone rock found in the ground. Limestone was an important natural resource that helped the community grow.
Community Life
An important part of Mystic's history and community life is the Dry Valley Baptist Church, which is located there. For many years, Mystic also had its own post office. This post office served the community from 1904 until 1964, helping people send and receive mail.
