The Nadeau River (called rivière Nadeau in French) is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into the Chaudière River, which then joins the big St. Lawrence River. The Nadeau River runs through the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
It passes through several towns. These include Saint-Séverin, Saint-Elzéar, Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, and Vallée-Jonction.
Where the Nadeau River Flows
The Nadeau River starts in the northern part of Saint-Séverin. This spot is about 8.1 kilometres (5 miles) northwest of Tring-Jonction. It is also 1.4 kilometres (0.9 miles) northwest of Saint-Séverin village.
The river flows for about 15 kilometres (9.3 miles). Here is how its journey unfolds:
- It flows 4.6 kilometres (2.9 miles) northeast through Saint-Séverin.
- Then, it goes 2.1 kilometres (1.3 miles) northeast to a road called rang Saint-Olivier.
- It continues 2.1 kilometres (1.3 miles) northeast, picking up water from a stream called Guay.
- Next, it flows 2.4 kilometres (1.5 miles) northeast, reaching the border between Saint-Elzéar and Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce.
- It then travels 2.9 kilometres (1.8 miles) eastward until it reaches Vallée-Jonction.
- Finally, it flows 0.9 kilometres (0.6 miles) eastward to where it meets the Chaudière River.
