Nadia Batson is a super talented singer, songwriter, and producer from Trinidad and Tobago. She's known for her amazing soca songs! Nadia was a runner-up in a big music competition called the International Soca Monarch in 2007. She sang a popular song called "My Land" with Kees Dieffenthaller.
Before she became a famous singer, Nadia worked behind the scenes. She wrote songs and helped produce music for other artists. She even helped create the hit song "Go Ahead And Do Dat" for singer Michelle Sylvester.

Nadia's Early Life
Nadia Batson was born on December 7, 1976, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. She grew up in Barataria, a town near Port of Spain. Nadia loved singing and writing songs from a young age, starting at eight years old.
When she was a teenager, Nadia joined an all-girls music group called Silhouette. They won a popular TV show called Party Time! They sang a special version of "Yesterday" by The Beatles. Nadia started singing professionally when she was 17. She joined a band called Andre Tanker's One World Contraband. Later, she became the only female singer in Kes the Band. In 2011, she left to start her own all-female soca band called SASS.
Music Competition History
Nadia has competed in many exciting music competitions. In 2007, she took part in the International Soca Monarch contest. She sang "Caribbean Girl" in one category and "My Land" with Kees Dieffenthaller in another.
Nadia placed second in the Power category with "My Land." She also came third in the Groovy category. She was a finalist in the same competition again in 2012 and 2014. In 2015, Nadia was also a finalist in the Chutney Soca Monarch competition.
Nadia's Music Career
Judging Digicel Rising Stars
In 2014, Nadia Batson became a judge on a popular TV show called Digicel Rising Stars Trinidad and Tobago. This show helps new singers become famous. She joined other judges like 1st Klase and Sheldon Ramgoolam.
Nadia continued to be a judge for the show's ninth season in 2015. She helped new artists find their voices and shine!
Singing with Kes The Band
In 2005, Nadia joined a popular pop band called Kes The Band. She was a main female singer for the group. With the band, Nadia traveled the world! They performed in the United States, Canada, and many Caribbean islands. In 2011, Nadia decided to leave the band to start her own music group.
Forming SASS Nation
In 2011, Nadia Batson started her very own all-female soca band called SASS Nation. Other lead singers in the band include Terri Lyons and Megan Walrond. SASS Nation quickly became one of the best soca bands in Trinidad and Tobago. It is also the only well-known all-female soca band in the country!
