Nagindas Sanghavi (born March 10, 1920 – died July 12, 2020) was an Indian writer and teacher. He taught about politics and wrote articles for newspapers. He wrote in English, Hindi, and Gujarati languages. In 2019, he received the Padma Shri award. This is one of India's highest honors for civilians.

Life and Career
Nagindas Sanghavi was born in Bhavnagar, a city in Gujarat, India. He also went to school there. After finishing his studies, he started working. His first job was as a typist in an advertising company. He earned a small salary of 30 Rupees per month.
Becoming a Teacher
After a few other jobs, Sanghavi decided to become a teacher. He started teaching in 1951. He taught at Bhavan's College in Mumbai. Later, he taught at Ruparel College and Mithibai College. He taught subjects like political science and history.
Writing for Newspapers
While he was teaching, he also started writing for newspapers. He wrote articles about politics and other topics. Even after he retired from teaching in 1980, he kept writing. His pension was 700 Rupees, which was not enough to live on. So, he continued his writing career.
His Books and Writings
Nagindas Sanghavi wrote a total of 29 books. He wrote them in Gujarati and English. He was also a regular writer for a Gujarati magazine called Chitralekha. In this magazine, he wrote a special column about politics.
