Nagua Alba was born in Madrid, Spain, on March 16, 1990. Her mother is a writer named Isabel Alba Rico. Her father, Ahmed Goueli, is Egyptian. Her grandmother was Lolo Rico. Her great-great-grandfather was Santiago Alba Bonifaz.

Nagua grew up in the Basque Autonomous Community in Spain. She studied Psychology at the University of the Basque Country. Later, she earned a Master's degree. This degree was in Educational Psychology from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM).

Her Political Journey

Nagua Alba became involved in politics with the Podemos party. In December 2015, she led the Podemos party list for Gipuzkoa. This was for the general election. She won a seat in the 11th term of the Congress of Deputies. The Congress of Deputies is like the House of Representatives in other countries. It is where laws are made.

In March 2016, she became the Secretary-General of Podemos Euskadi. This means she was a main leader for the Podemos party in the Basque Country. She took over from Roberto Uriarte. She ran again in the June 2016 general election. She again led the party list for Gipuzkoa. She won her seat again for the 12th Congress of Deputies.

In August 2017, Nagua Alba decided not to run for re-election as the party leader in the Basque Country. She called for a new election to choose the next leader.
