Nancy Telfer, born on May 8, 1950, is a talented Canadian musician. She is known as a choral conductor, which means she leads choirs. She's also a music teacher and a composer, someone who writes music.

About Nancy Telfer

Nancy Ellen Telfer was born in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. She started playing the piano when she was six years old. Later, she also played the French horn in different music groups. These included school bands, orchestras, and smaller chamber ensembles.

Nancy went to the University of Western Ontario. After graduating, she worked as a music and drama teacher in public schools. She loved teaching young people about music and theater. In 1977, she went back to the University of Western Ontario to study more. She learned from several famous music teachers there. She earned her bachelor's degree in music in 1979. After that, she started writing her own music.

Nancy Telfer's Music

Nancy Telfer has written over 300 pieces of music! She writes for many different instruments and groups. She especially loves writing for choirs and solo singers. Her music is very popular with the Canadian National Conservatory of Music (CNCM) and The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM).
