Naoshi Nakamura (中村 直志, Nakamura Naoshi, born January 27, 1979) is a former Japanese football player. He was a talented midfielder who played for Nagoya Grampus for many years. He also had the honor of playing for the Japan national team.

Playing for Clubs
Naoshi Nakamura was born in Funabashi, Chiba, Japan, on January 27, 1979. After finishing his studies at Nihon University, he joined a professional football team called Nagoya Grampus Eight in 2001. This team later became known simply as Nagoya Grampus.
By 2002, Naoshi Nakamura had become a regular player for his team. He was very versatile, meaning he could play in different positions on the field. Even though he started as an offensive midfielder, he also played many games as a defensive midfielder and a right-side midfielder.
Success with Nagoya Grampus
From 2008, a new manager named Dragan Stojković took over the team. Under his guidance, Naoshi Nakamura mainly played as a defensive midfielder. The team achieved great success during this period.
- In 2008, Nagoya Grampus finished in 3rd place in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league.
- In 2009, they were the runners-up in the Emperor's Cup, a major football tournament in Japan.
- The biggest achievement came in 2010, when Nagoya Grampus won the J1 League championship for the very first time!
- In 2011, the team continued their strong performance, finishing in 2nd place in the J1 League.
After 2011, Naoshi Nakamura played less often for the team. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2014 season.

Naoshi Nakamura had one special moment playing for his country. He made his only appearance for the Japan national team on August 9, 2006. This was a friendly match against the Trinidad and Tobago team.
