Nasewaupee (pronounced NASS-ə-WAW-pee) is a small town in Door County, Wisconsin, in the United States. In 2010, about 2,061 people lived there. Some smaller communities are part of Nasewaupee, like Idlewild. You can also find Sherwood Point Light and Potawatomi State Park within the town's borders.

History of Nasewaupee
The town of Nasewaupee was officially created in 1859. Its name comes from a Menominee chief who used to live in the area. The word "Nasewaupee" itself means "early dawn" or "the time before sunrise" in the Menominee language.
Geography and Land Area
Nasewaupee covers a total area of about 71.1 square miles (184.2 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 43.1 square miles (111.6 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 28.1 square miles (72.7 square kilometers), is water. This means that almost 40% of the town's total area is covered by water!
