Where is Natahki Lake Located?
This lovely lake sits in a special kind of mountain valley. This valley is called a cirque. A cirque is shaped like a bowl and is carved out by glaciers. Natahki Lake is surrounded by impressive mountains. To its west and south is Mount Henkel. To the southeast, you will find Altyn Peak. The lake is quite high up, at an elevation of about 6,575 feet (2,004 meters) above sea level.
How Big is Natahki Lake?
Natahki Lake is not a very large lake. It measures about 0.15 miles (0.24 kilometers) in length. Its width is around 0.10 miles (0.16 kilometers). Even though it is small, it adds to the beauty of the park. The lake's water flows out into a stream called Apikuni Creek.
