Nathalie Rozencwajg (born October 1975) is an award-winning architect. She has won awards from important groups like the RIBA and RICS. Nathalie works in both Paris and London.

About Nathalie's Career

Nathalie Rozencwajg was born in Luxembourg. She grew up in Brussels, Belgium. She studied architecture at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) in London. She finished her studies in 2001.

Early in her career, Nathalie worked in London and Paris. She also worked on projects in places like Beijing, Athens, and Mecca. In 2005, she helped start an architecture company called RARE architecture. She was a director there for 12 years.

From 2004 to 2016, Nathalie also taught at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. She was a "Unit Master," which means she led a group of students.

In 2012, Nathalie was recognized as an "Emerging Woman Architect of the Year." This award came from Architects’ Journal. In 2014, The Guardian newspaper listed her as one of "10 women in architecture to watch." This showed she was a rising star!

In 2018, Nathalie started her own new architecture company. It is called NAME architecture.

Nathalie often gives talks and leads events about architecture around the world. She has spoken at places like Kansas State University. She also wrote an essay called "Nathalie Rozencwajg: The Imagined and the Imaginary." She has also helped write books and articles about architecture.

Nathalie cares about helping women in architecture. She has said it is sad to see so much talent not reach its full potential. She believes long work hours and childcare costs can make it hard for women.

Cool Buildings and Designs

Nathalie Rozencwajg has designed many interesting buildings. Her company won big awards in 2011 for the Bethnal Green Town Hall Hotel. This is a fancy hotel in London with 98 rooms.

The Town Hall building was first built in 1910. It was made bigger in 1937. It is a very old and important building. Nathalie's team added a cool, modern touch. They put a special laser-cut aluminum "skin" on the outside. This skin hides a new floor inside the building.

They also kept some old sculptures by Henry Poole. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant. People said her work was modern but still respected the old building.

Nathalie also designed the CentralFestival EastVille shopping mall in Bangkok. She designed the Porte 12 restaurant in Paris. She also created the Londrino restaurant for chef Leandro Carreira. This restaurant was nominated for an award. People said Nathalie made a simple and sleek space. It matched the careful cooking at Londrino.

Nathalie is also known for designing fancy apartments. These are in Westminster's Castle Lane in London. She found a new way to use the classic "bow window" design. A bow window is a window that curves outwards. Her design made the windows look thick and unique.

Nathalie taught at the Architectural Association School of Architecture from 2004 to 2016. She helped students with their first-year projects. She also led a special unit for more advanced students. She was also in charge of the AA Singapore Visiting School.

As part of a workshop, Nathalie helped students build a special footbridge. This project was called "The Crossings Project." They built it at Hooke Park, a woodland area in England.
