Nathan Kreuger (born 25 June 1999) is an Australian rules footballer. He plays for the Geelong Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Before this, he played for Geelong and Collingwood in the top league, the Australian Football League (AFL).

Nathan Kreuger's Football Journey

Nathan Kreuger started his journey in football in a special way. In 2018, before the main player draft, some teams got extra chances to pick players.

Two teams, Carlton and Gold Coast, wanted special picks. The AFL said no to their first request. But they did allow these teams to pick a few older, experienced players from other leagues.

These special picks could be swapped between clubs. Carlton traded one of their picks to Geelong. This is how Nathan Kreuger joined the Geelong team.

Nathan is a tall and strong player, perfect for a "key forward" role. This means he is good at scoring goals. For his first two years, he worked on his skills in the VFL. This league helps players get ready for the AFL.

He played his first AFL game against North Melbourne in Tasmania.

At the end of the 2021 season, Nathan moved to a new team. He was "traded" to Collingwood. This means the clubs agreed to swap him for something else, like other players or draft picks.

Nathan played 13 games for Collingwood over three seasons. He scored 11 goals for them. After the 2024 AFL season, he was "delisted" by Collingwood. This means the club decided not to keep him on their team.

But Nathan didn't stop playing! He went back to Geelong. He signed up to play for their reserves team in the VFL.
