The old Candler County Jail is another historic spot in Metter. It's located at 349 North Rountree Street. This building was constructed in 1916. It served as the county jail for many years. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 7, 2002.

Metter Downtown Historic District

The Metter Downtown Historic District is not just one building. It's a whole area in the center of Metter! This district includes many old and important buildings. They are mostly around Broad and Roundtree Streets. This area shows what Metter looked like a long time ago. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 24, 2011.

Like the downtown district, the South Metter Residential Historic District is an area. It's a neighborhood with many historic homes. This district is bounded by South Kennedy, South Roundtree, South Lewis, and South Leroy streets. These homes show the style of houses built in Metter long ago. This district was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1988.
