The National Strawberry Festival in Belleville, Michigan, is a super fun event! It started way back in 1977. Local farmers created it to celebrate their amazing strawberry crops.
This festival happens over three days. It takes place on the third weekend of June. There are tons of activities for everyone to enjoy. Many local churches and schools help out with the events.
Some of the cool things you can do include:
- Play Bingo
- Eat yummy strawberry desserts
- Watch a big parade
- Check out a cool car show
- See the "Strawberry Queen Pageant"
- Enjoy live music and shows
Every year, over 200,000 people come to the festival. They visit from all over Southeastern Michigan and even farther away.
The festival took a break in 2020 and 2021. This was because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But don't worry, it came back in 2022!
