National Women's Hockey League facts for kids
The National Women's Hockey League (NWHL) was an exciting ice hockey league for women in Canada. It started in 1999 and played its last games in 2007. Many of the best female hockey players from around the world played in this league. They also played in another league called the Western Women's Hockey League. Susan Fennell, who was the mayor of Brampton, Ontario, helped lead the NWHL as its commissioner, which is like being the president of the league.
