Nava is a cool place located in the Autonomous Community of Asturias, which is a region in northern Spain. It's a special name because it refers to three things at once! Nava is the name of a whole area, called a municipality. It's also the name of one of the smaller parts within that municipality, known as a parish. And finally, the main town or capital of this area is also called Nava!
Nava shares its borders with several other interesting places. To the north, you'll find the areas of Sariego, Villaviciosa, and Cabranes. If you head south from Nava, you'll reach Laviana and Piloña. On the eastern side, it's bordered by Piloña again, and to the west, you'll see Bimenes and Siero.
One of the most famous and fun places to visit in Nava is the Cider Museum. Cider is a very popular drink in Asturias, made from apples, and this museum teaches you all about its history and how it's made. It's a great spot to learn about local traditions!
The municipality of Nava is divided into six smaller areas, which are like local neighborhoods or small villages. These are called parishes, and each has its own unique charm. The six parishes are:
- Ceceda
- Cuenya
- El Remedio
- Nava
- Priandi
- Tresali
