The Naval Museum of Uruguay (which means Museo Naval de Uruguay in Spanish) is a cool place to visit in Montevideo, Uruguay. It's located right by the water on the Rambla de Gaulle, in the Pocitos neighborhood. This museum is all about the history of the Uruguayan Navy and the sea!

Inside, you can explore many interesting things. There are old cannons that were once used on ships. You'll also see detailed models of different boats and ships. The museum displays lots of old photographs and special items that tell stories about Uruguay's naval past. It even has a library and an archive where people can learn more. The museum is perfectly placed between Playa de los Pocitos beach and the Puerto del Buceo harbor.

Making the Museum Accessible

Since 2011, the Naval Museum has worked hard to make sure everyone can enjoy its exhibits. They added special signs with Braille writing for many of the items. Braille is a system of raised dots that blind people can read with their fingertips.

Guiding Visitors with Vision Impairment

To help visitors who are blind or have low vision, the museum also built a special path. This path is made of wood and metal. It guides them safely through the museum during their visit. These changes make the museum a welcoming place for all.
