Nenad Đorđević (born August 7, 1979) is a Serbian football coach and former player. He played as a defender, which means his main job was to stop the other team from scoring goals. Currently, he works as an assistant coach for Al Wasl in the UAE Pro League. Nenad also played for the Serbia and Montenegro national team in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Nenad's Club Football Journey

Nenad Đorđević started his professional football career at FK Jedinstvo Paraćin. After that, he joined Obilić in 1999. He played for Obilić for four seasons, appearing in 97 league games.

Playing for Partizan

In July 2003, Nenad moved to Partizan, a big club in Serbia. He quickly became a key player for the team. He helped Partizan reach the group stage of the 2003–04 UEFA Champions League, which is a very important competition for European clubs.

In the 2004–05 season, Nenad won his first national championship title with Partizan. He also helped his team get to the round of 32 in the UEFA Cup, another major European competition. He played 85 league games for Partizan before leaving in 2007.

Playing in Japan and Russia

In February 2007, Nenad signed with JEF United Chiba, a Japanese club. He played 13 league games and scored three goals during the 2007 season.

After just one year, Nenad returned to Partizan in January 2008. He played very well in his second time with the club. His goals helped Partizan win the 2007–08 league title, which was their first in three years. In 2008, he became the team's captain, showing how important he was to the club.

In April 2010, Nenad moved to Russia to play for Krylia Sovetov. He scored a goal in his very first game for the club. He played for them until February 2012.

Playing in Sweden

In February 2012, Nenad signed with Kalmar FF, a Swedish club. He played for Kalmar FF for several seasons. Later, in 2016, he joined IFK Berga.

Nenad's International Football Career

Nenad Đorđević played 17 times for the Serbia and Montenegro national team. He scored one goal for his country. He was also part of the team that played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. His last international game was against Ivory Coast at that World Cup.

Nenad's Coaching Career

After a successful playing career, Nenad Đorđević decided to become a coach.

Starting as a Coach

In November 2015, Nenad announced that he would become a player-assistant manager for IFK Berga in 2016. He officially stopped playing football at the end of that season. In 2017, he started coaching younger players at Kalmar Södra IF.

Coaching Youth Teams

In November 2017, Nenad returned to his old club, Kalmar FF, as a youth coach. He coached the club's Under-16, Under-17, and Under-19 teams. He stayed there until the end of 2020.

Coaching Senior Teams

In September 2021, Nenad became an assistant coach for Hammarby IF, a team in Sweden's top league. He left that role at the end of the year. In February 2022, he became the head coach of Hammarby TFF, which is a feeder team for Hammarby. He led them to a 6th-place finish in their league.

In early 2023, Nenad returned to being an assistant coach for Hammarby's main team. He left Hammarby in June 2023 to become an assistant coach for Al Wasl in the UAE Pro League. He works there with his former colleague, Miloš Milojević.
