The Story Behind Nessy
Nessy Learning was created by a British entrepreneur named Mike Jones. Mike himself has dyslexia. He understood how challenging learning could be for students with similar experiences. His personal journey inspired him to create tools that could help others.
Mike's mother, Pat Jones, played a huge role in his journey. She worked hard to help him with his dyslexia when he was a child. Her dedication led her to become a specialist in dyslexia. She later started the Bristol Dyslexia Centre and the Belgrave Schools in England. These places help many children with dyslexia.
In 2015, Pat Jones was honored by Queen Elizabeth. She received the Order of the British Empire (OBE) award. This award recognized her amazing work helping dyslexic children. In 2019, a short film called Mical was made about Mike's childhood and his mother's efforts to support him.
