Nestlé Deutschland is the German part of a very big food company called Nestlé. It's one of the most important food companies in Germany.

How Nestlé Germany Started
Nestlé Deutschland began in 1970. Back then, it was known as Nestlé Alimentana AG. Later, in the early 1980s, its name changed to Nestlé Gruppe Deutschland GmbH. Finally, in 1987, it became Nestlé Deutschland AG.
In the 1970s, another company called Rowntree Mackintosh built a chocolate factory in Germany. They made popular treats like Kit Kat. In 1988, Nestlé bought the British company Rowntree Mackintosh. The next year, in 1989, the German part of Rowntree Mackintosh joined Nestlé Deutschland AG. This German factory still makes tasty chocolates like After Eight and Smarties.
A few years ago, Angela Merkel, who was the leader of Germany at the time, and Paul Bulcke, who was the head of Nestlé, opened a new factory. This factory, called Nestlé Werk Schwerin, is located in Schwerin, a city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
What Nestlé Germany Makes
Nestlé Deutschland makes many different food products. For example, their ice cream company, Schöller GmbH, is one of the biggest ice cream makers in Germany.
Where Nestlé Germany Is
The main office for Nestlé Deutschland is in Frankfurt am Main. It's located in a part of the city called Niederrad, which is on the south side of the river. The office is also close to a big highway called the Bundesautobahn 5.
The person in charge of Nestlé Deutschland since July 2015 is Béatrice Guillaume-Grabisch. She was born in Paris in 1964.
