Nevada Mills is a small, unincorporated community located in Steuben County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. It is part of Jamestown Township. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes and businesses that doesn't have its own local government, but is part of a larger county or township.
History of Nevada Mills
Nevada Mills has a simple but interesting history. A long time ago, in 1867, a post office was opened here. This was a very important place for people to send and receive letters and packages.
The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed its doors in 1905. Before it was known as Nevada Mills, this community had another name. Some people called it Millville.
