Kaşif Nevzat Tarhan (born 7 July 1952) is a Turkish psychiatrist and expert in neuropsychology. A psychiatrist is a doctor who helps people with their thoughts and feelings. A neuropsychologist studies how the brain affects behavior.

Life and Career
Nevzat Tarhan was born in Merzifon, Turkey, in 1952. He studied at Kuleli Military High School and then at Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Medical School. He finished his medical studies in 1975.
After his training, he worked in different military hospitals. In 1982, he became a specialist in psychiatry at GATA (Gülhane Military Medical Academy). He continued his studies and became an assistant professor in 1988 and an associate professor in 1990. By 1996, he was a full professor.
In 1998, he started working with the "Memory Center of America" in Turkey. He is currently the chairman of the board for NPİSTANBUL. This is Turkey's first hospital focused on neuropsychiatry. He is also the founding rector of Üsküdar University. A rector is like the president of a university.
Nevzat Tarhan has written many articles and books. More than 100 of his works have been published, and 31 of them are known internationally. He can speak English and German. He is married and has two children.

Nevzat Tarhan is involved in many projects that help people. These are called social responsibility projects. He leads several organizations that aim to make life better for others:
