Kaşif Nevzat Tarhan (born on July 7, 1952) is a Turkish psychiatrist and an expert in neuropsychology. He also has knowledge in Psychological warfare, which involves understanding how people think and behave in groups.

Life and Career Journey

Nevzat Tarhan was born in Merzifon, Turkey, in 1952. He completed his high school education at Kuleli Military High School in 1969. Later, he graduated from Istanbul University's Cerrahpaşa Medical School in 1975.

After his medical training, he worked in different military hospitals in Cyprus and Bursa. In 1982, he became a specialist in psychiatry at GATA (Gülhane Military Medical Academy). He continued his work as a psychiatrist at other hospitals before becoming an assistant professor in 1988. By 1996, he was promoted to a full professor.

From 1996 to 1999, he taught at Yüzüncü Yıl University. He also worked as an expert at the Forensic Institution, which helps with legal cases. In 1998, he decided to retire and started representing the "Memory Center of America" in Turkey.

Today, Nevzat Tarhan is the chairman of the board of NPİSTANBUL. This is Turkey's first hospital focused on neuropsychiatry, which studies how the brain affects mental health. He is also the founder and rector of Üsküdar University.

He has written over 100 articles and books, with 31 of his works published internationally. He can speak both English and German. He is married and has two children.
