New Hope is a small place located in Perquimans County, North Carolina, in the United States. It is known as an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that don't have their own local government, like a city or town. Instead, it's part of the larger county area. New Hope is found about 8.8 miles (14.2 km) east-southeast of the town of Hertford.
A Bit of History
New Hope used to have another name: "Durants Neck". This name came from an early settler named George Durant. He was a pioneer citizen in the area, meaning he was one of the first people to settle and help develop the community.
