The Ngulungbara were a group of Aboriginal people. They lived on Fraser Island in Queensland, Australia. Some people think they might have been a part of the larger Butchulla people.
Where the Ngulungbara Lived
It is not fully clear if the Ngulungbara were a completely separate tribe. Some experts believe they were a smaller group, like a family or clan, within the Butchulla people. The name "Ngulungbara" ends with -bara. This ending often means a group or clan in Aboriginal languages.
The Ngulungbara lived on a part of Fraser Island. This area was north of a place called Boomerang Hill. According to Norman Tindale, a famous researcher, their land covered about 200 square miles (520 km2).
