NickMusic is a TV channel that plays music videos. It used to be called Nick Hits. This channel is the international version of the American NickMusic. It mostly shows popular modern pop music.

Channel History
Early Days as Nick Hits
The channel first started as Nick Hits on August 2, 2007. It launched in the Netherlands and Belgium. Back then, the channel showed ads and promos in Dutch.
Becoming NickMusic
On February 1, 2017, the channel changed its name. Nick Hits officially became NickMusic.
Going Global
On July 1, 2020, NickMusic became a channel for many countries. It stopped showing local ads and promos. At the same time, NickMusic started broadcasting in Australia. It took the place of another channel called [V]. A few days later, on July 6, 2020, NickMusic also became available in New Zealand.
Expanding to New Regions
On June 1, 2021, NickMusic replaced MTV Music 24 in Europe. After that, the channel grew even more. It became available in Africa and the Middle East. The channel has a special license from the Czech Republic. This helps it broadcast legally in the European Union. Even with this license, the channel's main office is still in London.
Channel Closure Announcement
On July 2, 2025, Paramount Global announced some news. The NickMusic channel will close down on New Year's Eve 2025.
