Nick Shen (born August 26, 1976) is a famous actor, businessman, and host from Singapore. He used to be a full-time actor with Mediacorp, a big media company in Singapore, from 1999 to 2012. In 2011, Nick started his own company called Tok Tok Chiang Wayang. This company helps to share and promote Chinese opera in Singapore.

Early Life and Education
Nick Shen grew up in Singapore and has a younger brother. He went to St. Thomas Secondary School. Later, he studied Mass Communication at the Management Development Institute of Singapore.
Nick Shen's Career Journey
Nick Shen started his acting career after winning a talent competition called Star Search Singapore in 1999. He worked for MediaCorp for many years. Besides acting, he also wrote and sang his own songs. Some of his songs were even used in TV shows!
In 2012, Nick left MediaCorp. He then focused on promoting Chinese opera, which is a traditional art form. In 2014, he won a special award called the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World and JCI Cultural Achievement Honoure Award. This award recognized his efforts in culture.
Nick has also been a guest radio DJ on MediaCorp's Capital 95.8FM. He teaches acting at the Singapore Media Academy.
Mastering Bian Lian
Since 2013, Nick Shen has been performing bian lian. This is a special Chinese art where performers change masks very quickly. It looks like magic! Nick is the first actor in Singapore to learn this amazing skill. He trained for two years with a Chinese bian lian master named Li Shuimin.
Personal Life and Health
In 2023, Nick Shen shared that he had some health challenges. He experienced a serious case of shingles, which is a painful rash. This led to a condition called Bell's palsy, which can cause weakness in face muscles. He spent five days in the hospital in September 2023 to recover.
