Channel History and Development
Nickelodeon Junior first started broadcasting on January 26, 2010. It was created to offer shows specifically for very young viewers.
High Definition Launch
On September 22, 2015, a high-definition (HD) version of the channel was launched. This meant viewers could watch their favorite shows with clearer pictures.
Expanding Where You Can Watch
For a long time, Nickelodeon channels in France were only available through Canal+. However, in 2019, this changed. Nickelodeon channels, including Nickelodeon Junior, became available on other French internet service provider (ISP) TV packages. This made it easier for more families to watch the channel.
In January 2021, Nickelodeon Junior became even more widely available. It was added to Canal+ offers in several new areas. These included Caledonia, the Caribbean, and islands in the Indian Ocean. This expansion brought the channel to viewers in Réunion, Mayotte, Comores, Mauritius, and Madagascar.
