Nicolas Vouilloz, born on February 8, 1976, is a super talented athlete from France. He's famous for being one of the best mountain bikers ever, especially in downhill racing. After conquering the mountain biking world, he also became a professional rally car driver!

Nicolas Vouilloz is known as "The Alien" in mountain biking because he was so dominant. He won the Downhill Mountain Bike World Championships an amazing ten times! He started winning as a junior in 1992 and kept winning until 2002. In 2000, he finished 8th, but otherwise, he was always at the top.

He also won sixteen World Cup Downhill races. Many people consider him the greatest male downhill racer of all time. He was born in Nice, France.

From Bikes to Rally Cars

In 2000, Nicolas decided to try something new: rally car racing. He started in smaller races and then moved up to national events. His first big race in the World Rally Championship (WRC) was the 2001 Monte Carlo Rally.

His best result in the WRC was ninth place at the 2004 Wales Rally GB. He drove a Peugeot 206 WRC for the Bozian Racing team. Peugeot Sport, a big car company, helped him a lot. They even paired him with an experienced co-driver named Denis Giraudet.

Rally Success and Return to Mountain Biking

After Peugeot left the WRC, Nicolas competed in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) from 2007 to 2009. He did very well, finishing second in 2007 with three wins.

In 2008, he became the champion of the IRC! He drove a Peugeot 207 S2000. He won one race and finished second six times, always placing in the top five. In 2009, he finished fourth overall.

After several years away from mountain biking, Nicolas returned to professional racing in 2007. He competed in the World Cup in Champery, Switzerland. Today, he races for Lapierre Ultimate Cycles and is involved in the Enduro World Series, which is another type of mountain bike racing.
