Nika started her music journey in 2010. She was on the first season of Slovenija ima talent, which is like the show Got Talent in Slovenia. Later, she joined Raay Music, a music company owned by the Slovenian music group Maraaya. Her first song, "Čas za nas," came out in 2012. Maraaya wrote this song for her. Nika Zorjan was born on December 3, 1992. She grew up in Petanjci, a small village near Murska Sobota in Slovenia. Her family was very musical. Her grandfather, Leopold, played the accordion. Her father, Janez, played guitar in a Slovenian band called Nova Legija.
Nika's Music Career
Nika Zorjan began her career in 2010. She was a contestant on the first season of Slovenija ima talent. This show is the Slovenian version of Got Talent. She did not make it to the semifinals, but it was a start.
In 2012, Nika took part in Misija Evrovizija. This competition aimed to find Slovenia's representative for Eurovision. She finished in third place. After the show, she signed with Raay Music. This record label is owned by Raay. That same year, she released her first song, "Čas za nas." It became a hit in Slovenia. Her next song, "Problemom sredinc," was released later in 2012.
In 2014, Nika was a backing singer at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. She performed with Tinkara Kovač, who represented Slovenia.
Nika also tried to represent Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. She competed in EMA 2017 with her song "Fse." She finished fifth in that competition. She also competed in EMA 2018 with the song "Uspavanka." However, she did not make it to the final round that year.
