Nikki Ambers, whose real name is Nicole Shortland, is a talented singer and songwriter from London, England. She was born on March 6, 1996. You might know her from her hit song "Little Nikki Says" in 2013. This song became quite popular, reaching number 53 on the UK music charts. Before her solo career, Nikki was also part of a music group called SoundGirl.
Nikki Ambers' Music Journey
Starting with SoundGirl
Nikki began her music journey as a member of a group called SoundGirl. In June 2011, SoundGirl released a song called "Don't Know Why". It reached number 45 on the UK charts. The group also shared two other songs, "The Game" and "Walking on Air," on YouTube. SoundGirl eventually broke up in April 2012.
Becoming a Solo Artist
After SoundGirl, Nikki started her solo career. On November 2, 2012, she released her very first solo song, "Intro Intro". She followed this with "Where I'm Coming From" on April 26, 2013.
Her song "Little Nikki Says" came out on September 6, 2013. This song was used in an advertisement for Boohoo.com's summer collection. Nikki and Boohoo.com even made a special "shoppable music video" for it. "Little Nikki Says" reached number 53 on the UK Singles Chart.
Nikki also worked with other artists. She was featured on Maxsta's song "Wanna Go", which came out on September 29, 2013. This song reached number 43 on the UK charts. Nikki also helped write the song "Towers" for the famous girl group Little Mix. This song was on their second album, Salute.
Another one of Nikki's songs, "YoYo", was used in a Boohoo.com advert for their autumn and winter clothes. In 2014, she was featured on the song "Make U Bounce" by DJ Fresh and TC. This song was a new version of TC's 2012 track.
In 2019, Nikki Ambers appeared on the TV show The Voice UK, showing off her singing talent to a wider audience.
