Nikola Radičević is a professional basketball player from Serbia. He was born on April 25, 1994. Nikola plays as a point guard, which is a key position in basketball. Point guards are often like the "quarterbacks" of the team, helping to set up plays and pass the ball. He is 6 feet 5 inches tall. Nikola currently plays for Dziki Warsaw in the Polish Basketball League (PLK) and the European North Basketball League (ENBL).

Early Basketball Days

Nikola Radičević started his basketball journey in his hometown of Čačak, Serbia. He began playing in the youth system of Partizan, a well-known basketball club in Belgrade. This is where he developed his skills as a young player.

Professional Career Highlights

Nikola began his professional career in 2012. He moved to Spain to play for Baloncesto Sevilla in the Liga ACB, which is a top Spanish basketball league. He spent five seasons with the club, first training with the main team and playing with the youth team. By the 2014–15 season, he became a regular player for Sevilla's main team.

After his time in Spain, Nikola played for several other teams across Europe. He joined Crvena zvezda in Serbia in 2017. He also had two different periods playing for Gran Canaria in Spain. He played for Aquila Basket Trento in Italy and UCAM Murcia in Spain.

In 2020, he moved to Promitheas Patras in Greece. The next year, in 2021, he played for Trefl Sopot in the Polish Basketball League. From 2021 to 2022, he was with Lietkabelis in Lithuania.

He returned to Spain in 2022 to play for Bilbao. In 2023, he joined Cedevita Olimpija, a team that plays in both the Adriatic League and the Slovenian Basketball League. With Cedevita Olimpija, he won the Slovenian League and the Slovenian Cup in 2024.

In late 2024, he signed with MoraBanc Andorra in Spain. However, he left that team in early 2025. Soon after, in January 2025, Nikola signed with his current team, Dziki Warsaw, in Poland.

NBA Draft Experience

In 2015, Nikola Radičević was chosen in the 2015 NBA draft. He was the 57th player picked overall by the Denver Nuggets. This meant the Nuggets had the rights to sign him if he ever decided to play in the NBA. He even played for the Nuggets during the 2017 NBA Summer League, which is a special set of games where new players and young players get to show their skills.

Later, his draft rights were traded to other NBA teams. In 2020, his rights went to the Detroit Pistons. Then, in 2022, they were traded again to the New York Knicks.

Playing for His Country

Nikola has also represented his home country, Serbia, in international basketball competitions. He played for the Serbian national youth teams.

  • In 2011, he won a silver medal with the U-18 team at the 2011 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship in Poland.
  • In 2012, he earned a bronze medal with the U-18 team at the 2012 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship in Lithuania and Latvia. During this tournament, he played very well, averaging 12.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game. Because of his great performance, he was named to the All-Tournament Team.
  • He also won a bronze medal with the U-16 team at the 2009 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship in Lithuania.
