Nils Clarke is a Canadian politician. He is a member of the Yukon Liberal Party. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of Yukon in the 2016 election. He represents the area called Riverdale North.

About Nils Clarke
Nils Clarke worked as a lawyer in the Yukon for 24 years. He was the executive director of the Yukon Legal Services Society. This group helps people get legal help. He studied at the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia. He became a lawyer in 1992.
Becoming a Member of the Legislative Assembly
On November 7, 2016, Nils Clarke was elected. This was part of the Yukon Liberal Party winning a majority government. A majority government means their party won more than half the seats. This allows them to lead the government.
Important Roles in Government
On January 12, 2017, Nils Clarke became the 12th Speaker of the Yukon Legislative Assembly. The Speaker is like a referee in the assembly. They make sure meetings run smoothly and fairly. As Speaker, he was also the Chair of the Members’ Services Board. This board helps manage things for the members of the assembly.
On May 3, 2021, Nils Clarke was given new roles. He became the Minister of Highways and Public Works for Yukon. This means he helps manage roads and public buildings. He also became the Minister of Environment. In this role, he helps protect the environment in Yukon.
