Nintendo Power was a really popular magazine for video game fans. It was all about Nintendo games! Every month, it brought exciting news, sneak peeks, and helpful tips for players. The magazine ran for many years, from 1988 to 2012.
What Was Nintendo Power?
Nintendo Power was a special magazine made for people who loved Nintendo video games. It came out once a month. Inside, you could find out about new games coming soon. It also gave you strategies and tricks to help you play games better.
The very first issue of Nintendo Power came out in July/August 1988. It featured the exciting NES game Super Mario Bros. 2. For a long time, Nintendo of America published the magazine. This means Nintendo itself created and printed it.
Later, in 2007, a company called Future US took over publishing. They are the American part of a British company called Future. The last issue of Nintendo Power was in December 2012. It showed off the Wii U game New Super Mario Bros. U.

Nintendo Power was packed with cool stuff for gamers. It mainly focused on:
- News: What's happening in the world of Nintendo games.
- Previews: Sneak peeks at games that were still being made.
- Articles: In-depth stories about different games and game creators.
The magazine also had some fun regular sections. One was called Pulse. This section shared letters and drawings sent in by readers, just like you! Another popular part was Player Profiles. Here, you could read interviews with people who worked in the video game industry. You could learn about game designers, artists, and more.
