Nisa Godrej is the youngest daughter of Adi Godrej and Parmeshwar Godrej. Her older siblings are Tanya Dubash and Pirojsha Adi Godrej. She grew up in a family deeply involved in business.

Nisa went to The Cathedral & John Connon School for her early education. After that, she studied at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her bachelor's degree.
