About the Book
Jerry Pinkney's Noah's Ark brings an ancient story to life with stunning pictures. The book tells the tale of Noah, who was chosen by God to build a giant ark. This ark would save his family and two of every kind of animal from a worldwide flood.
The Story of Noah's Ark
The story begins with Noah receiving a special message. He is told to build a massive boat, big enough to hold many creatures. Noah works hard, even when others might not understand his task.
Soon, animals from all over the world start to arrive at the ark. They come in pairs, ready to board the huge vessel. After everyone is safely inside, the rains begin. The flood covers the entire Earth.
After many days, the waters slowly go down. Noah sends out a dove to find dry land. When the dove returns with an olive branch, it's a sign that new life is possible. Finally, the ark lands on solid ground. As Noah and the animals leave the ark, a colorful rainbow appears in the sky. This rainbow is a promise of hope and new beginnings.
