Nobel Vega (born August 21, 1931 – died August 7, 2023), known to many as Tio Nobel or Uncle Nobel, was a famous actor and a friendly face on children's television from Cuba. People mostly remember Vega for his role as a boat captain on a popular TV show in Puerto Rico. His show was a big hit and competed with another popular children's show at the time.

Early Life and TV Career

Nobel Vega started his acting journey in his home country, Cuba. He appeared in several movies there. After a period of big changes in Cuba, he, like many others, moved away from his country. He found a new home in Puerto Rico, where he quickly became famous on television.

He also had other shows like "El Mundo Infantil del Tio Nobel" ("Uncle Nobel's Children's World") and "El Festival del Tio Nobel" ("Uncle Nobel's Festival"). In his later years, he continued to bring joy as "Tio Nobel" on another Puerto Rican channel, Tele Once.
