Noboru Kohara was born in Tondabayashi, Osaka, Japan. He started playing football when he was young. He joined the youth team of Kyoto Purple Sanga. This team later became known as Kyoto Sanga FC.
Starting His Professional Career
In 2002, Noboru Kohara became a professional player for Kyoto Purple Sanga. This team played in the J1 League, which is the top professional football league in Japan. On October 12, 2002, he played his first professional match. He came into the game as a substitute forward against the Urawa Reds.
Moving Between Leagues
After his first match, Kohara did not play again until 2003. At the end of the 2003 season, Kyoto Sanga FC was moved down to the J2 League. This is the second-highest professional league in Japan.
